OMG! I love this stuff! The first thing I noticed when I poured it into the little boxes was that there really wasn't any dust. Lots of litter brands say that are dust free, but this is the first one that actually was dust free. The second thing I noticed was the weight. Or rather, the lack of weight! I have been filling, moving and shifting littler box trays with 3 to 4 inches of clay in them for decades. It's a great upper body work out, but not the highlight of my litter box cleaning experience. The World's Best Cat Litter filled 4 inches thick in a large litter box hardly weights a thing! It's a fraction of the weight of typical clay litter. For me this was a really nice bonus!
After about a month of use I am a little embarrassed about how excited I am over cat litter lol! All three of my cats adapted to the new litter without an issue. The litter works exactly as advertises, the urine forms clumps that hold together well. I haven't found any that break apart while sifting the litter boxes. The litter doesn't form a concrete bond with the side of the litter box. My three cats aren't delicate little beings, they are 13+ lbs big boys and I worried that with such a light litter they would break up existing clumps while they did their thing. All three are...umm...enthusiastic when they bury their business but the clumps stand up well even to their NFL like handling.
I have found all pros, no cons to using World's Best Cat Litter Clumping Formula. There is no smell and no mess. If anything there is less litter tracked out of the boxes with this brand than with any litter brand I have tried. It's light and easy to handle. It is FLUSHABLE!!! It doesn't stick to the litter box and it sifts through sifting litter boxes like a dream. I really can't say enough good things about this litter!
I had my doubts. It doesn’t look like clumping litter. It doesn’t have some sort of scent to mask the smells. It looks… different. Since using it (my cat, not me) I never smell ammonia anymore. I’m not sure how it works, but even the ‘added’ masking scents of the other brands can’t compete, and I don’t have to also smell deodorizer.
Then there is the clumping. Far better than any other cat litter I’ve tried (and again, I mean my cat, not me). Even scooping it is less messy. Often I find when using the scoop, small bits of litter fall off, but not with this. And urine clumps hold together completely.
Dust. Okay, let’s face it, is there such a thing as completely dust free? I mean, if I shake anything hard enough, including myself, some bit of dust comes off (and no, I have never shaken my cat). But still, this is almost dust free. When I pour this inside the top-entry box my cat uses, there’s extremely little dust on the sides. I had to run a damp fingertip all around the perimeter to pick up even the tiniest bit of dust. That’s far better than the cloud of dust I get when pouring other brands into the box. And it sure makes emptying the box a much nicer task.
I pour a good 4 inches into the cat box. This allows my cat, who seems to have an excessively large bladder, to urinate to her heart’s content, and it doesn’t leak to the bottom of the box. I do scoop every morning, removing anything my cat has left. I add more as needed. And I change the litter every 3 weeks. I do find I can go 3 weeks with this, as opposed to the other brands, which always required changing at 2 weeks.
I like this litter so much that for the first time I joined the Subscribe and Save to have it regularly delivered. 5 Stars.
The smell is definitely weird, but it's only strong when it's first poured, and I find it quite preferable to the way other litters smell, anyway. I'm not sure why some people find it so awful. It mostly smells like vegetables to me, and now that I'm used to it, it doesn't bother me at all. My litter is just off my living room, where we spend a lot of time, and we don't notice the smell at all (again, unless it's freshly poured).
I find that this works really well to neutralize the strong odor from urine. I have a really strong sense of smell, and I usually struggle to change the litter because the scent of pee is really overwhelming, but it's not a problem with this litter.
I have two problems with this litter. The pieces are rather large, and my cat (most cats, actually) prefers a finer litter. She doesn't dig in this litter as much, and she doesn't always fully cover her poops (though, she was never much a stickler for this anyway *sigh*). So I can imagine that some cats wouldn't want to use this litter. Also, it clumps fairly well when compared to other natural litters, but it's still not the best when compared to regular litters. So someone that's been using natural litters may be happily surprised by this litter, but someone switching from a more commercial brand may be disappointed. I guess that's the sort of thing that comes down to a person's priorities.
This litter is expensive, but the price here on Amazon is better than at my local pet stores (Petsmart and Petco).
This is the first time I have bought the large size, so I can't speak to how long it lasts me. But the small bag was just right for a small, single cat for about three or four weeks.

There are hundreds of different types of litter on the market but, in my opinion and experience, this one really is the world's best litter. I don't buy scented litters; there is a slight smell to this letter but it is mild and not offensive. I use charcoal air purifier bags (natural, inexpensive and reusable--fantastic) by the litter boxes so any scent this litter may have is not noticeable.
It clumps and scoops beautifully and flushes without issue.
I tend to get very long usage of this litter and I don't need to do the complete change -and-washing of the litter boxes nearly as often as any other litter I've used in the past and I've used them all. The cat kicks up the litter and makes a mess but he does that will any litter; the important thing is that the spilled litter is very easy to sweep up.
The most important feature of this litter for me is that there it produces very little dust . I didn't realize how important that was until a few years ago when I was on vacation. The person caring for my cats used a different litter and within days, my one cat was rushed to the vet with breathing issues. A $1000 vet bill later and about $2000 lost to a vacation that had to be cut short and I learned a very valuable lesson: dust from litter, especially the cheaper ones, may result in respiratory issues and duress in cats. Thankfully my cat was fine and she recovered within a day of the litter being switched back to the World's Best litter and an air purifier working overtime to clean up the remaining litter dust particles.
Lesson learned: high quality litter matters. World's Best Litter is truly the best on the market and it's worth it's cost.
You get NONE of that concern with this kitty litter. In fact, when you open a fresh bag the first thing you'll notice is how natural it smells. It actually smells... good? But without perfumes! Well, duh. It should – it's made of corn cobs! And I love that too. It's super environmentally friendly (dude, you can FLUSH it!!), and it's so much safer for your kitty's digestive tract than clay alternatives (which can clog and harm their digestive systems when they clean themselves or breathe it in – like obviously, it's CLAY).
Anywho, we both love this litter and I hope upon hope that I can get it in Mexico when we're there this winter. Let's keep our fingers crossed, ok?
As for my kitty, she loves it. She is a ragdoll, and they are known for being extremely picky with their litter. There have been no signs of skin or eye irritation and she seems to enjoy digging around and burying her stinky treasures. It doesn't stick to her paws either. The only thing that happens occasionally is some of the litter is of course a bit finer and this can slightly stain her back legs but that's nothing a quick wipe won't fix.
Because it's super absorbant, and the way it coats no.2's it lasts for AGES. I typically buy a bag once every three months (my cat weighs ~3.5-4kg) . My friends cat who also uses this litter is around 6kg and she needs to buy a bag around every 2 months.
I cannot recommend this litter enough. I find the pellet ones absolutely useless and other clumping litter types tend to be scented or have some weird crap in there that will irritate some cats.
